Synopsis
At her wedding, Laura Harper is left stranded at the altar when her fiancé Richard abandons their vows to tend to his manipulative bridesmaid Mia. Humiliated after seven years of being overlooked, Laura calls her childhood sweetheart Liam—powerful head of the West Coast Miller Syndicate—who arrives to humiliate the Andersons and take her away.
Richard and Mia’s later kidnapping plot backfires spectacularly; Liam outmaneuvers them and sees Richard jailed. Laura and Liam marry and build a happy family. Years later, a broken, released Richard tries to apologize, but Laura walks past him, his regret utterly meaningless to her bright new life.
